Welcome to The Studio Library
A library is not important simply because its shelves are full. It becomes important when something on those shelves reaches the person who needed it.
That thought lies at the heart of this room.
The world our children are growing up in can be busy, noisy and sometimes complicated. Yet children still need imagination and laughter, friendship and kindness, adventure, curiosity and the freedom simply to enjoy being children.
Those needs inspire our children's stories. Through gentle adventures, memorable characters and the wonderful creatures of the natural world, we hope to encourage children to notice, wonder, care, imagine and smile.
But children are not the only ones who sometimes need something waiting for them on a shelf.
There are times when a few gentle words of comfort and hope are needed, and ordinary days when we could simply use a reason to smile. Those needs inspired our encouragement and reflection collections, and Little Bits of Happy — small creations intended to bring a moment of warmth, amusement or happiness to someone's day.
Everything on these shelves began with a reason.
Sometimes it was a child who needed a story. Sometimes it was a heart that needed comfort. And sometimes it was simply someone who could use a little bit of happiness.
As the Studio grows, so will the Library. We hope, in time, to bring selected books, cards and other Studio creations into other languages, allowing their stories, encouragement and happiness to travel beyond our own corner of the world.
Whatever eventually finds a place here, we hope it will always have one thing in common:
It was created because someone, somewhere, might need it.
